DAVID "PORKY" PORTZLINE

David "Porky" Portzline,
63, of Swisher, Iowa, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
David was born May 30, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Alan and Lavonne (Bachman) Portzline. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School and was employed at Mutual Wheel. David married Tammy Zerbee on March 3, 2000, in Solon, Iowa. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, farming and hunting. David was a cowboy at heart and loved horses. He enjoyed telling stories and could talk to anyone. David was a helper, handyman and a jack-of-all- trades.
David is survived by his wife, Tammy Portzline; son, Shane Portzline; daughter, Mandi Portzline; mother, Lavonne Portzline; siblings, Gerald (Joy) Portzline, Becki (Joel) Cunningham and Robert (Roxanne) Portzline; mother-in-law, Lucille Zerbee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Portzline; father-in-law, Vern Zerbee; and brother-in-law, Danny Lybarger.
