DAVID ALLEN WILLIAMS “PEE WEE”

David Allen Williams "Pee Wee," 50, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Services will begin at 3 p.m. following the visitation.
David was born Nov, 22, 1970, to Shirley Browning, and Eugene and Ollie (Holman) Williams in Iowa City. He graduated from Metro High School. He married Sheri Kos. He worked many jobs but enjoyed his time as a telemarketer. He worked as clerk at Hy-Vee up until his passing.
In his younger years, he enjoyed boxing and karate. Later in life, he grew fond of playing cards, dominoes, chess and listening to music. He shared his passion of music by DJing local and family events. David cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Most importantly, he loved phone time with his daughter and grandchildren. It was his mission to continue to keep his grandmother Ms. Pinkie's memory alive as she was the backbone of the family.
Our beloved was a selfless man and will never be forgotten.
David is survived by his mother, Shirley Browning, and Ollie Williams; fatherm Eugene Williams; wife, Sheri Lyn Williams; daughter, Talyssa Ann Kos; grandchildren, Tristan Michael Ourth, Aubryanna Marie Ourth, Jaylen Marcello and Staiano Thomas; uncle, Julious Williams; aunts, Emma (Scott) Squire and Rose "TT Rosie" Merritt and Evelyn Green; nieces, Chandice O'Bannon and Nateesha Sell; nephews, Nathan Sell and Brandon Smith; siblings, Sonya Sykes and Betty Nollen; stepbrothers, Anthony Lanier and Bobby Lee Jenkins Jr.; stepsister, Deshun Cross; along with a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Eugene Williams; grandmother, Pinkie Williams; grandfather, Joshua Williams; uncles, John "Bubble Jr." Williams, Earl Williams and Steve "Stevie" Williams, John (Emma) Williams and Allen "Big Allen" Williams; aunt, Hermia Flender; great-uncle, Ned Hopkins; and his cousins, Joshua "JJ" James, Evangeline "Susie" Hopkins, Ervin Browning and Lucious Browning "Uncle Brother."
