David E. McNabb, 48, passed away peacefully at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, on Saturday, April 4, 2015, following a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Memorial services: 3 p.m.
Wednesday, April 8, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Evonne; four children: daughters, Dawn (Matt) of Tacoma, Wash., and Tiffany of Van Horne; and sons, Tory and Dillon, both of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Karmyn, Madilyn, Zavier, Ava and Gino. He will be greatly missed by friends and family and by his aunt, Jackie (Carney), with whom he shared a very special bond.
David E. McNabb was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Jan. 8, 1967, the only child of David and Michele McNabb. Dave was preceded in death by both of his parents.
David will be fondly remembered by many as a superb bowler, for his dedication to the bowling industry, and for his outstanding mentoring and service to customers of PBC.
He enjoyed coaching, fishing, golfing, live music and especially enjoyed bowling in tournaments across the nation.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a devoted friend to many.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the considerate staff at the Hall Perrine Cancer Center and Hospice of Mercy team for its outstanding and compassionate care.
