David Arthur Luse, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Crestview Acres, Marion.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gale, of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Barb Luse of Cedar Rapids; son, Greg (Monica) Luse of Des Moines; brother, Richard Luse of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren and multiple great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff, in 2013; three brothers and four sisters.
David Arthur Luse was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Clark and Mabel (Field) Luse. On June 22, 1957, he married Gale Lou Hansen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He worked as a machinist at Iowa Manufacturing for many years until retiring in 1997. David sang with the Cedar Rapids Harmony Hawks for over 10 years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and deer hunting.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
