David L. Ness, 71, of Iowa City, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His family wishes to thank all the staff especially his nurses for their sincere compassionate care of David during his last stay.
David Lee Ness was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa. His family moved to Iowa City, where he graduated from City High School in 1969. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Marines. For many years, David worked for the former Roberts Dairy as a mechanic. He enjoyed life, trout fishing, playing golf, watching Grit TV, always finding time to read and, of course, his many pets over the years.
His family include his wife, Barbara and many other family members.
