David L. Dramstad, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday evening, Dec. 10, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
Visitation: 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa.
Military honors: 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.
Inurnment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

David Lee Dramstad was born Feb. 21, 1961, in Oelwein, the son of Sigurd Clifford and Eleanor Marie (Bonar) Dramstad. He graduated from Oelwein High School. David proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 1986. In 1992, he was united in marriage to Lori Ranae Peck and they later divorced. David was employed as system administrator at Benchmark, Inc. in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed bike riding with his best friend Larry. David also enjoyed learning and messing around with new technology, playing whatever new video game his kids showed him and playing his banjo.
David is survived by his son, Sam Dramstad of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Katie Dramstad of Cedar Rapids; stepson, Brandon Nyman of Cedar Rapids; stepgrandson, Bentley Dilts of Cedar Rapids; brother, Kent (Maria) Dramstad of Essex Junction, Vt.; sister, Lisa Miller of Pratt, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mark Dramstad, in 2020.
