David Jensen Jr., 58, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at home. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is caring for the family.
Survivors include his mother; children, David Jensen III and Courtney Jensen; grandson, Mason Jensen; sisters, Linda (Dennis) Schrader and Mary (Ian) Menzies; a niece; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
David Hawley Jensen was born to David and Gwili (Hoyer) Jensen Sr. on Sept. 1, 1964. He served as an employment recruiter for many years and was currently employed as an IT client manager for a Dallas-based healthcare company.
He was a calming force for everyone he met, especially his family. David was an Iowa and Chiefs football fan, sharing this passion with his son. He was his daughter’s rock and cheerleader. David solved life’s problems; he was a great dad.
