David J. Hansen, 66, of Marengo, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Diane Vorhies officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Interment will be in the Marengo Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
David is survived by his wife, Debra Hansen of Marengo; two children, Deann (Jerry) Smith of Marengo and John Hansen (Renee Schulte) of Marengo; a stepdaughter, Amy Imhoff (Steve Goff) of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Austin Hansen, Hunter Smith, Jovi Smith (Caitlin Spurlin), Alexis Hansen and RayLynn Hansen; four great-grandchildren, Jozlynn Hansen, KO Hansen, Lane Smith and Laylah Spurlin; a brother, Drue (Linda) Hansen; and his faithful canine companions, Theo “Squirrel,” Pepper and Daisy. David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eunice Hansen Reed; a brother, Dean Hansen; and his stepfather, Louis Reed.
