David Lee Huston, 64, of Oswego, Ill., passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 5, 1950, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Harold C. and Idalene (nee Westphal) Huston. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 675, the Tiger's Club of Aurora, Ill., and the Kickers Club of Oswego. He volunteered as a driver for the Meals on Wheels program for many years.
He is survived by his close friends, Christine Petersen of Oswego and Andrew (Marsha) Packenham of Yorkville, Ill.; stepson, Denny Kidd of Iowa; and brothers, Larry (Elizabeth) Huston of Cedar Rapids, Steve Huston of Portland, Ore., and Tom (Andrea) Huston of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy E. Huston.
A visitation will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, 306 E. First, Anamosa,
IA 52205.
