David Wayne Goff, 62, of Monticello, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Funeral service: 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with visitation two hours before the service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
David was born Sept. 15, 1954, the son of D. Alfred and Joyce (Thomas) Goff, in Mount Vernon, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army. On Sept. 4, 2004, he was married to Debbie Thomas at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. David was a truck driver for 35 years, most recently working for Simons Trucking Inc. in Farley. More than anything, he was an avid NASCAR fan and Harley rider. David enjoyed many other hobbies, including reading, fishing and camping.
He greatly loved spending time with his family and friends, and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Goff; three sisters, Jane Harrington, Brenda Goff and Bev (Mark) Joslin; two stepchildren, Dan (Amanda) Thomas and Heather Thomas; two stepgrandchildren, Logan Thomas and Scarlett Thomas; three nephews, Nick (Jessica) Clark, Josh (Arlene) Clark and Travis Joslin; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; many cousins; numerous friends; and pets, Virginia Mae, Bodacious James and Pollyanna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, in-laws and several other relatives.
