DAVID FRANK SMITH
Burnside, Ky.
David Frank Smith of Burnside, Ky., formerly of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his home.
David was born June 12, 1940, in rural Linn County, son of Frank and Mildred (Burnside) Smith.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna (Ford, Williamson) Smith.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Tracy) Smith of Laurel, Iowa; daughter, Angela (Brian) McClain of Shellsburg, Iowa; sister, Diane (Smith) O'Donnell of Cameron, Wis.; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Allison, Cassandra and Erin; and great-grandchildren, Henry and Juliet.
David served honorably in the U.S. Navy and earned his Bachelor's of Science degree at Coe College. He traveled all over the country when he worked for Hurco Manufacturing Co. and in 1999, he retired from the Defense Logistics Agency at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. He enjoyed golfing and fishing in his free time.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
