David Francis Lubben, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at the Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Monticello after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on June 22, 1953, the son of Donald and Maxine (Rodas) Lubben in Edgewood. David was raised on a farm near Earlville. He was educated at the Edgewood-Colesburg Schools. David helped on the farm and liked being outdoors.
On May 28, 2011, David was united in marriage to Ronda (Loveless) Williams in the Greeley United Methodist Church in Greeley. He and Ronda made their home in Manchester. David enjoyed gardening, farming, going on his walks, anything outdoors, the color burgundy, butterflies and animals, especially his cat, Sheba. He especially enjoyed helping Ronda with day-to-day activities and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Ronda Lubben of Manchester; his two stepchildren, Matthew Shada of Cedar Rapids and Nicole (Cory) Kelly of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Janet Moser of Manchester, Lorna (Alan) Kirby of Strawberry Point, Pamela Lubben of Earlville and Daniel Lubben of Earlville; his special uncle Tony Lubben; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Maxine Lubben; and his infant sister, Judith Lubben.
