David E. Thomas, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Oct. 19, 2018, in The Villages, Fla.
David is survived by his wife, Diane M. Thomas (nee Weir); four children, Martha Thomas, Jennifer Meier (Brent), Catherine Thomas (Tim Kamin) and Daniel Thomas (Tiffany); 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
David's life will be celebrated on Dec. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A luncheon will follow the service.
