DAVID "SCOTT" DEAL
Springville
David "Scott" Deal, 57, of Springville, died unexpect-edly Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, where a visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Deacon Bob Hurych will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Patricia Deal of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Stephanie (Dick) Phillips of Cedar Rapids, Michael Deal of Cedar Rapids and Mark (Joan) Deal of New Glarus, Wis.; his nephews, Brian (Wendy) Hagmeier of Marion, Brent Hagmeier of Cedar Rapids, John (Ashley) Deal of Belleville, Wis., Nathan Deal of Des Moines and Jeremy Deal of Des Moines; Iowa, a niece, Laura Deal of Cedar Rapids; a nephew, Eric (Rachelle) Deal of Cedar Rapids; and four great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Deal and wife, Elizabeth Deal.
Scott was born June 10, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jack and Marjorie (Peck) Deal. He married Elizabeth Dolen there on Oct. 2, 1985. Scott was employed with Kapstone as a machinist. He enjoyed playing racquet ball with his friends at the YMCA, gardening, duck hunting and spending time with his family and animals.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
