David Charles Rabe, 75, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October 26, 2025.
David was born August 10, 1950 to Charles H. and Arlene M. (Sindt) Rabe at the Corn Belt Hospital in Belle Plaine. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, Class of 1968.
Following school, David worked for Amana before moving to Chicago to work with his father-in-law as owner operator of M&G Provision Company. In 1996 David returned home to Belle Plaine where he worked for Funk Seeds Intl. until retirement in 2012.
David was an avid sports fan. You could find him watching his favorite teams around the clock, including the Iowa Hawkeyes or anything Chicago; Bears, White Sox, Cubs and Bulls.
David is survived by his son, Ryan (Rachel) Rabe of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren, Walker and Cooper; stepson, Howard (Cheryl) Rowe of London; step-grandchildren, Olivia, Avery, Sarah and Johathan; sister, Charlene (Ed) McDonough of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Chad McDonough; his children, Molly and Shaw; Chris McDonough; his children, Carson and Nate all of Cedar Rapids. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Family would like to thank close friend, Jason James for all the friendship and care he has provided David over the years.
