It is with great sadness that the family of David W. Busch announces his passing from pancreatic cancer on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at the age of 65 years in Salem, Ore. His family was with him when he passed at home.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janette, and children, Ira (Rachel) and Dustin. David also will be fondly remembered by his sister, Karen Madden, and brothers, Dan (Ann), Steve and John (Tina), in addition to many nephews, nieces and cousins.
David was predeceased by his mother, Mary Jane (Steil) Busch, and father, Bernell Busch.
Until a year ago, David was a well-known and respected Iowa City contractor. He enjoyed a 15-year partnership with Tom Laughnan, B & L Builders, followed by 26 years with Busch Construction with partner and brother Steve. David was known for his exacting, high standards and quality of work, which resulted in many very satisfied customers and receiving numerous awards for historical renovation of Iowa City properties. More importantly, David made his mark on the community with his kindness and caring for his fellow humans and animals that shared his journey on this earth.
