Darrell Eugene Ketelsen, 85, peacefully passed as he was surrounded by his family on August 15, 2025, in Ankeny, Iowa.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 21, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope (520 NW 36th St) in Ankeny with funeral service to follow at 11am. A graveside prayer will occur at Ankeny Memorial Gardens after the service. Luncheon to follow the graveside service at the church.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Ida Mae; daughter, Lori (Larry) Beal; grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Luick, Bryan (Jenn) Beal, Ashley (Joe) Miller, and Chad (Ara) Fabor; great-grandchildren, Tyson (Taylor), Kade, Owen (Kandice), Trinity (Wesley), Dalton, and Clay; sister, Doris (Clyde) Scovel; as well as numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family as they determine a memorial to honor Darrell’s life.
