Darlyne LaVon Corell, 97, of Cedar Rapids, formerly Strawberry Point, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Hospice Unit, with many of her family by her side. She was born June 15, 1920, in Strawberry Point, the daughter of Earl and Adah (Michael) Nichols. Darlyne attended school in Strawberry Point, graduating with the class of 1938.
On July 25, 1950, Darlyne was united in marriage to Cletus Corell in Manchester. Darlyne worked at the Clayton County Courthouse, auditor's office in Elkader, Carroll County Courthouse, assessors office in Carroll, and retired from Erickson Petroleum Co. in Minneapolis.
Darlyne moved to Cedar Rapids in 1984 to be closer to family. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. She volunteered at the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Kramer of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Shirley Brandenburg of Cedar Rapids; a sister-in-law, Judith Corell of Callender; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Darlyne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cletus, in 1983; her son, Richard Brandenburg, in 2014; and a great-granddaughter, Katrina Howes, in 1999.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at United Methodist Church, Strawberry Point, with the Rev. Mary Green officiating. Visitation: one hour before services Saturday at the church. Interment: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point.
