DARLENE CUMMINGS WILLADSEN

Darlene Cummings Willadsen, 91, of Clermont, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society in West Union.

Darlene, the daughter of Fritz A. and Gladine T. (Mays) Nottnagel, was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Marquette, Iowa. She graduated from Marquette High School. Darlene was united in marriage with Hubert R. Cummings on Oct. 7, 1944. Darlene was then married to Dale Willadsen on May 12, 1995. Dale preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2012.

Darlene is survived by her seven children, Karen (Harold) Schaffer of Davenport, Linda (Tim) Lindquist of Jesup, Duane (Donna) Cummings of Reno, Nev., Tom (Lenna) Cummings of Clermont, Marie (Lynn) (Beckwith) Ohlson of Omaha, Neb., Terry (Danice) Cummings of Clermont and Devin (Kathy) Cummings of Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her two husbands, Hubert and Dale; a grandson, Aaron Berns; her parents; a sister, Ruth Pettit; and three brothers, Donald, Raymond and Frederick Nottnagel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the East Clermont Lutheran Church, rural Clermont. The Rev. Lee Boleyn and the Rev. Ron Roberts will be the officiants. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at East Clermont Lutheran Church and one hour before services Friday at the church. Interment will be held in the East Clermont Lutheran Cemetery, Clermont, Iowa.

Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Clermont is assisting the family with the arrangements.
