Darlene R. Lnenicka, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at the Oldorf Hospice House Mercy in Hiawatha. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Jordan Yaeger will officiate. Burial will be at Campbell Cemetery in Bertram Township.
Survivors include her children, Denny (Mary) Lnenicka of Florida and Gloria Lnenicka of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a son, Steven; and siblings.
Darlene Ruby Lnenicka was born July 3, 1927, to Joe and Edna Smith Baxa near Sutliff, Iowa, the youngest of nine children. Darlene graduated from McKinley High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Lnenicka on Nov. 8, 1945.
