Darlene Hillsman-Crawford, 64, after a long illness passed away from life on Jan. 8th, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. The celebration of live service will begin at 11 a.m Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Westdale community church. Darlene was born on Feb. 13th, 1959 to Lincoln and Jessie Hillsman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Darlene graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was known for her love for cooking, watching her soap operas, and her love for children. She was known for her smile, her laugh, and most of all, her big heart toward everyone she encountered.
Darlene is survived by her brother Marvin Hillsman(Peggy Hillsman) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her sister Juanita Hillsman of Waterloo, Iowa, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Jessie Hillsman, father Lincoln Hillsman, sister Madeline Downs, nephew Tyrone Downs, and niece Jennifer Hillsman
She will be missed by many!!
