Darlene M. (Hoefer) Fischer, 84, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in the arms of her loving husband, surrounded by her family at Marietta's Place in Manchester.
Survivors include her loving husband and lifelong soulmate, Charles E. Fischer of Manchester; her six children, Charles Jr. (Mary) Fischer of Colesburg, Marie (Neil) Willenborg of Petersburg, Arthur Fischer of Dubuque and Sandi (Dan) Stelken, Bob (Dawne) Fischer and Cheri (Gerry) Heims, all of Manchester; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Hoefer of Cedar Rapids and Art (Karen) Hoefer of Swisher; one sister-in-law, Verna Mae Hoefer of Manchester; and a brother-in-law, Donnie (Irene) Fischer of Dubuque.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 24, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, with the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends also may call an hour before Mass at the church on Monday. Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
