Darlene was born March 3, 1948, to Darrell and Josephine Eves in Cedar Rapids. She retired in 2008 after working 40 years at Square D. Darlene grew up partially in Florida and enjoyed her time with friends and family there. She loved horses and had several growing up. Movies, boating, skiing, fishing, bowling and playing the slots at the casino were all favorite pastimes. Many memorable times were spent at their cabin on the Cedar River. Her joy was her three weenie dogs, Isabella, Charlotte and Jasmine.
Darlene is survived by two sisters, Sally (Paul) Larson and Carole (Blaine) Turner; her soulmate, Nancy Jennings; her loving son, Andrew Jennings; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Dave Turner.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
