Darla (Spratte) Moander, 43, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Brad A. Brown will officiate. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Darla was born March 29, 1974, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Don and Judy (Albers) Spratte. She graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Kirkwood Community College. Darla married Andrew Moander on April 5, 2014, in Cedar Rapids. She was a billing and account specialist supervisor for MedLabs UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital. Darla was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She enjoyed life and loved to sing. Her family and friends were her true joy and they take comfort knowing that Darla was a woman of deep faith.
Darla is survived by her husband, Andrew Moander; parents, Don and Judy Spratte; sisters, Melanie (Alan) Harms and Tricia (Tim) Jeffery; nieces, Alyssa Harms, Jenna Jeffery, Kyla Jeffery and Abbi Moander; nephews, Dylan Harms and Daniel Moander; mother-in-law, Shirley Moander; brother-in-law, Dan (Karri) Moander; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Emma Spratte, Delbert and Madelene Albers; and father-in-law, James Moander.
