DARLA ANN "DEE" (BEHNING) DUBISHAR

Darla Ann "Dee" (Behning) Dubishar passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 15, with a Celebration of Life starting at 5:30 p.m. at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Darla was born June 5, 1956, to Mary Lou (Dalen) and Darrell Behning. She spent her school days at Strawberry Point schools and graduated from Starmont in 1974. Darla married Tom Dubishar in 1984. They later divorced. She moved to Iowa City, where she worked at Walmart for 19 years. She enjoyed Hawkeyes football, dressing up for Halloween and spending time with her friends and family.
Darla is survived by her son, Brock (Amanda), and her grandchildren, Savannah, Kaleb and Tatum of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; daughter, Ashley (Dion), and granddaughter, Ariyana of Phoenix, Ariz.; her soulmate, Donna Mininni of Iowa City; brothers, Allen (Laura) Behning of Las Vegas, Nev., and Darwin (Janet) Behning of Cedar Rapids; sister, Mary (Jeff) Dostal of Swisher; and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in care of Mary Dostal. Money will be donated to Mercy Hospital oncology and the hospice units in Iowa City.
