Danny Charles Myers was born Feb. 2, 1950, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Leslie and Gladys (Taylor) Myers. He graduated from Eddyville High School. He served in the National Guard. Danny was united in marriage to Deanne Kadlec on July 30, 2011, at their home in Fremont, Iowa. Danny worked in the agricultural business in chemical application for 45 years. He enjoyed target practice with his son and spending time with family. Danny passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at his home in Williamsburg at the age of 71.
He is survived by his wife, Deanne of Williamsburg; a son, Eric (Pam) Myers of Missouri Valley, Iowa; a grandson, Spencer Myer; two stepdaughters, Jessica (Dave) Tisl of Ankeny and Katie (Jason) Blahnik of Cedar Rapids; four stepgrandchildren, Elliott and Lucas Blanhnik and Benjamin and Emmaline Tisl; a brother, Don (Linda) Myers of Pryor, Okla. and a brother-in-law, Dan (Sally) Kadlec of Central City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Heather Myers.
A private Celebration of Life memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
