Danny Lee Steggall, 74, of Solon, Iowa, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at his home. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Danny was born March 8, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Robert and Rose (Blazek) Steggall. He graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1966. Danny was united in marriage to Tanya Lynn Lyon on April 28, 1990, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He worked as a machinist at Quaker Oats for over 40 years until his retirement in 2007. Danny loved fishing, hunting, and traveling to Canada.

Survivors include his children, Theresa (Frank) Ross of Greeley, Iowa, Chris (Kris) Heyer of Benton, Ark., and Laura Beth (Scott) Huett of Jacksonville, Ark.; grandchildren, Terry (Darcy) Ellis, Austin (Paige) Ellis, Alison Crossman, Shelby Heyer, Jayden Heyer, and Sara Carmical; great-grandchildren, Eben, Owen, Harper, Rylie, Hadley, and Hudson; his four-legged son, Billybob; nephews, Bob (Sheryl) Steggall, Richard Allen (Linda) Steggall II, and John G. Steggall; nieces, Cindy, Pat, Linda, and Denise; great-nephews, Joey (Kara) Steggall of Iowa City, Chuck (Alex) Steggall, Nick (Katie) Steggall, Robert B. (Nicole); great-niece, Brittney LaKose; and his in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Steggall; wife, Tanya Steggall; siblings, Richard A. (Jerri) Steggall I, William D. (Virginia “Jenny”) Steggall Sr., Roseann Trasak, and Douglas Steggall; and nephews, William D. Steggall Jr., Dennis Michael Steggall, and David Thomas Steggall.
