Danny Lee Jarosh, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, September 28, 2024. Private family services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Danny was born February 8, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Stan and Rubey (Durham) Jarosh. He graduated from Jefferson High School. Danny was united in marriage to Gwen Losey on December 28, 1991, in Cedar Rapids. He worked as an auto mechanic at various dealerships around town. Danny enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He was particularly fond of Northeastern Iowa, where he and Gwen spent cherished moments in their trailer, often fishing along the Mississippi River. One of the highlights of his life was fulfilling his dream of traveling to Alaska. Danny was an active member of the Cedar Rapids Pool League and Hawkeye Hooksetters.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Jarosh of Cedar Rapids; son, Ian Jarosh of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Chris Eichorn of Cedar Rapids; mother-in-law, Lois Wood; brother-in-law, Lyle Losey; nieces, Cassie Losey and Ellen McCauley; and nephews, Matt McCauley, Michael Losey, Austin Losey and Sean Losey, all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Rubey Jarosh; sister, Lisa Eichorn; and son, Aaron Jarosh.
