Danielle “Dani” June Frisch, 65, of Springville, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dani’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where the family will greet friends and family from 12:30 p.m. until the service time. Certified Celebrant Amy Hart will officiate. A private committal service will take place at a later date.

Dani was born on April 7, 1957, in Switzerland, the daughter of Charles and Emma Jane (Dripps) Frisch. She was a 1975 graduate of Springville High School and went on to attend Kirkwood Community College. In August of 1980, Dani was united in marriage to Mark E. Dirks in Springville. To this union, two children were born, Aaron and Alysha. Dani and Mark later divorced. Dani worked as a senior human resources training coordinator at Rockwell Collins for more than 20 years. She was also employed with Walmart for nearly 20 years. Dani loved “coffee time” with her sister, Carol on Saturdays. She also loved their trips together all around the state of Iowa, to California and, most recently, to Chicago and Canada. Dani’s love and devotion to her family was unmeasurable. She loved being a grandma and cherished spending time with her family. Dani will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dani is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Aaron (Tiffany) Dirks of Lisbon, Iowa; daughter, Alysha (Logan) Berns of Waterville, Iowa; grandson, Oliver; sister, Carol Frisch of Springville; and several extended family members from Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Fred Frisch.
