Daniel R. York, 66, of Marion, passed away from liver cancer on Saturday,
Oct. 22, 2016. He was born Feb. 1, 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Stephanie (Jim) Adamson and Katherine (Denny) McFadden; his mother, Edna; a sister, Christine (Dean) Talbot; and three grandchildren Ayjai and Jake Adamson and Brody McFadden.
Dan was in the Navy from 1970 to 1979, serving as an electric communication technician attached to a special communication group European command. After the Navy, he worked for Tekronix/Xerox until retirement in August 2014.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, spending time with his family and teetering on the computer.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tilford and Pearl York; and his father, Chelsea York.
There will be a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, a trust has been established in his name.
