Daniel Holle, 65, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City on Dec. 14, 2022.
He was born May 29, 1957, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Florence (Martin) Holle. He attended schools throughout Iowa, including Kirkwood Community College and Iowa State University. He married Rebecca Greiner on March 10,1979. They had a son together, Travis, and later divorced. Dan was an employee at Northtowne Cycling & Fitness for 22 years prior to his death.
He is survived by son, Travis Holle-Bailey (Chris), and grandson, Wendell, of Milwaukie, Ore.; mother, Florence Holle, Robins, Iowa; brother, Dave Holle, Waterloo, Iowa; sister, Beth Scheer (Doug), Marion, Iowa; sister, Dena Stolze (Stephen), Dubuque, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Jessica Scheer, Erika Barasa (Fred), Megan DeVore (Chris), Ryan Stolze (Jessica), Erin Stolze, Christopher Donlick, Nicole (Eean) Albro, Tori Holle, Alexandra Holle, Adrianna Holle and Justin Holle; great-nieces and great-nephew, Brynleigh Barasa, Breegan Barasa, Sophia Stolze, Ilana Stolze, Evelyn Devore and Jackson Stolze.
Dan enjoyed Hawkeyes sports, Kansas City Chiefs football, playing slots, puzzles and family get-togethers. He was a great lover of animals and had owned many cats and dogs throughout his life.
No services at this time. There is a Celebration of Life planned for Spring 2023. Iowa Cremation Center will be handling the cremation, with inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
