Daniel "Dutch" F. Shaffer, 51, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday,
Jan. 10, 2015, at his home surrounded by family. Private family services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Barnes of Keystone; his son, Robert Van Dee of Cedar Rapids; brothers and sisters, Ginger Lyons and Gloria Hines, both of Cedar Rapids, Kathy (Pat) Rain of Naperville, Ill., Don (Shelia) Shaffer of Fairview, Tenn., Maryann (Richard) Hopkins of Van Horne, Clark (Stephanie) Shaffer of Cedar Rapids, Diana (Pete) Conrad of Epworth, John (Allison) Barnes of Fairfax and Frank (Jolynn) Barnes of Fairfax; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Shaffer; stepfather, Frank Barnes; and brother, Terrance O'Toole.
