Daniel R Napierala, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 10, 2022, at
Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Services celebrating Dan’s life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with sharing of remarks, memories and toasting Dan’s life to begin at 6 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Rebecca Napierala, and his two sons, Matt and Tony Napierala of Columbus, Ohio, and Alta, Iowa, respectively. He also is survived by his daughter, Mary Suzanne Napierala, of Iowa City. Other survivors include his sisters, Roseanne Strand, San Jose, Calif., and Julie Tackenberg, Hillsborough, Mo. As well as Joseph, Connor, Roman and Zarek Napierala, his four grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
