Daniel Peddycoart, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017. Visitation: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at New Apostolic Church, 2930 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Private service and burial will follow. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda; daughters, Aimee (Jeff) Rummells, Christy (Michael) Eckhardt and Jacy (Erik) Haefke; grandchildren, Jon (Chantel), Emily, Daniel, Ali and Hope; great-grandchild, Rhys; brother, Jim (Gail) Peddycoart; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
Daniel Edward Peddycoart was born April 7, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, to Jack and Betty (Lefebure) Peddycoart. He was a member of the New Apostolic Church for 40 years. Dan was well-known for his mechanical ability and witty sense of humor. He was deeply proud of his family and loved times together around the dinner table.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis; parents; brother, Lee Peddycoart; and sisters, Jean Furness and Laurie Torres.
Special thanks to all the caring people who helped Daniel through his illness.
In honor of his service in the Navy, memorials may be directed to Linn County Veterans Affairs.
