Daniel Marvin Lange, 55, of Clarence, died Monday, May 2, 2016, at home. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at St. James Catholic Church, Toronto, Iowa, with Father Francis Odoom officiating. Burial: Lowden Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Born June 11, 1960, in Berwyn, Ill., the son of Donald and Lottie (Prince) Lange, he married Jennifer Sander at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton in 1980. Dan graduated from Clarence-Lowden High School. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the pond and computers. His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandson. Dan learned his meat cutting trade by helping his parents at the Lowden Meat Market and later owned Lange's Grocery and Meats in Clarence.
Survivors include his wife, Jen; son, Matthew; daughter, Patricia (Gary) Hadden; grandson, Henry; and his parents.
