Daniel Kittredge Parks, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa. Celebration of Life: 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at the Prairie Oak Lodge – Wanatee Park, Marion, Iowa. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Daniel Kittredge Parks was born on Dec. 21, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Clark and Nancy Parks. Dan was united into marriage to Jodi McGuire on Dec. 19, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dan was an avid Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed traveling, especially time spent in the mountains. He loved all things history, learning, exploring, and discovering. He enjoyed his coffee and time at the casino.
Dan is survived by his parents; wife; children, Staci (Byron) Jackson, Josh Mangrich, Kristin Mangrich, Bryan (Katie) Mangrich, and Melissa (David) Schmidt; grandchildren, Jalen, Cordell, Tyler, Wesley, Nevaeh, Alexandrea, Liam, Brent, Keaton, Sophia, Kaleb, Jameson, and Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Aliya, Rozayne, and Azariah; siblings, Chuck (Amy) Parks, Jeffrey Parks, Victoria (Tim) Javor, and Julie (Janet) Parks; and his dog, Chupy.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles (Constance) Parks, and Lucille Ramey; aunt, Dianne Babcock; and mother-in-law, Mae McGuire.
