Daniel Hager, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, March 21, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Private burial will take place at a later date.
Daniel was born June 10, 1960, Hayti, Missouri, the son of Lemar and Betty (Sumners) Hager. After high school, he attended Kirkwood Community College where he received his associate degree and his electrician apprenticeship. Daniel was a member of IBEW Local 405. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, and golfing. Daniel was a state champion dart player and enjoyed playing pool. As a union electrician, he got to travel all over the country, but his favorite place to be was with his friends and his family.
Survivors include his mother, Betty; and siblings, David Hager of Oklahoma, Dennis and Donald Hager, both of Cedar Rapids, Deana Snow of Marion, and Darby Hager of Cedar Rapids.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father.
