Dana Holland, 61, of Morley, died Thursday, April 1, 2021, at his home following a long illness.

Dana Charles Holland was born April 2, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Preston and Gladys (Broyles) Holland. He attended schools in Viola and was a member of the Anamosa High School Class of 1977. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dana was employed as a truck dispatcher and warehouse worker for International Automotive Components in Iowa City, and retired after 37 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Viola United Methodist Church. He enjoyed strolling the hills of Stone City while mushroom hunting, fishing and delighting his audience with his fishing tales, and hunting deer and turkey. He was an avid gardener and canned his yearly harvest.
He is survived by his wife of 42 1/2 years, Julie Weets; his children, Joel (Natasha Thumma) Holland, Amber, and Bailey Holland, Morley; his siblings, Nancy (Buck) Eilers, Telford, Tenn., Sheilah (Kenneth Westphal) Ralston, Anamosa, and Curtis Holland, Viola; his mother-in-law, Jannette Weets, Anamosa; several nieces and nephews; and his wonderful companions, Molly and Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids and Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, for the wonderful care Dana received, and all his friends, whom he loved, for the help they provided over the last few years.
