Dana Andrew Thomas, 63, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on August 30, 2025.
He was born on July 8, 1962, in Monticello, Iowa, to Francis Thomas and Reva (Tuetken) Van Antwerp. On July 7, 2017, Dana was united in marriage to Harriett Sue Fall in Cedar County, Iowa.
Dana worked for many years as a skilled carpenter with A & A Construction and as a mechanic at Taylor Motors. Known for being meticulous in everything he did, he took pride in his work and was also a talented painter, creating beautiful pieces of art. Outside of work, Dana enjoyed fishing and hunting, finding peace and joy in the outdoors.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Christopher Thomas; his daughter-in-law, Emily Morarie; two step-grandchildren, Kyla and Michael; his siblings, Kathy (John) Beck, Becci Freeman, Terri (Terry) Hamilton, Fran (Chuck) Marsicek, Jewel Thomas, J.R. (Deb) Thomas, Jennifer (Les) Smith, and Joy (Billy) Thomas; his sister-in-law, Amanda Fall; and his mother-in-law, Sharon Fall. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Harriett; his brother, Gary; and his stepson, Pattrick O’brine.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at his sister Terri’s home, 9586 Co Rd E45, Olin, Iowa 52320.
