D'Amico, Carmen S. 'Tony'
Carmen S. “Tony” D'Amico, 61, of 3104 Waveland Dr. NW, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Kristian Kincaid will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; two daughters, Kristen (Joe) D'Ambrosio of Massachusetts, and Alyssa (Victor) Sackett of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Joshua (Stacey Hollar), Nicholas (Dawn Frost) and Zachary (Mellette Maurice), all of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Angelina of Massachusetts; and two sisters, Kathy Scheetz of Cedar Rapids, and Joann Noel of Maine.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Tony was born on Jan. 23, 1950, in Revere, Mass., the son of Carmello and Angelina Nicolo D'Amico. He married Kathryn S. Kincaid on Sept. 18, 1969, in Key West, Fla. Tony proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been established in Tony's name.
