Daman, Timothy 'Tim' Victor
A Celebration of Life for Timothy “Tim” Victor Daman, 43, of Cedar Rapids, who died Sept. 11, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from injuries suffered in a fall, will be held at 1 p.m. on the 14th of September at Teahen Funeral Home, 3100 F Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, IA, with the Rev. Christopher Podhajsky officiating. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Harlan Sharp of Cedar Rapids; his father and stepmother, Vic and Laura Daman of Marion; brothers, Todd (Jamie) Daman of Marion and Troy (Amy) Daman of Fort Madison; sisters, Emily Daman and Carolyn Daman of New York, N.Y.; grandmother, Allene Harmon of Nipomo, Calif.; nieces, Kaytlin, Sophia, and one due in November; nephew, Noah; and many relatives and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Tim was born Aug. 28, 1969, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1987. Tim worked in the food service business all of his life.
Tim enjoyed life to the fullest and was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, extended family member and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and others at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and St. Luke's Rehab for the excellent care that Tim received, and finally, as Tim told his little sister, Carolyn, “Thanks for loving me.”
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
