Dale J. Zimmerman, 70, passed away at his home Saturday, July 24, 2021, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family as he made his final journey. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30, at St Matthew Lutheran Church in Monticello. Pastor David Raemisch will officiate. Burial will
be at Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com.
For everyone's protection, unvaccinated friends and relatives must wear a mask to enter the funeral home or the church.
Survivors include his wife, Grace, Monticello; daughter, Rebecca (Ryan) Burger, Grimes, Iowa; two sons, Timothy (Elaine), Fairbank, and Scott (Stephanie), Waterloo; grandchildren, Paige, Emily, Marc, Aaron and Rachel Burger, Kyle, Bryce and Krayton Zimmerman, and Reece Drew; Jon and Marilyn Zimmerman; his sister, Marie (Ce'sar) Escobar, San Bernadino, Calif.; and a brother, Dean (Lynette Seigley) Zimmerman, Monticello.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
