Dale "Red" McKern, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at his home. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his friend and caretaker, Deb Klein and family of Cedar Rapids; and his dog, Jake.
Red was born May 4, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa. He worked with the streets department for the City of Marion. Red was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Group, Freedom Trikers and PAC & ADA.
Red enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, Trikes and old classic cars. He also enjoyed watching car races and WWE wrestling.
Memorials may be directed to Abate Motorcycle Group or Freedom Trikers in memory of Red.
