Dale Dean Gorsh, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, at 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Dale was born on July 13, 1954, the son of Donald and Norma Ann (Frondle) Gorsh. Dale was a longtime "fixture" in the Kwik Shop stores in the Cedar Rapids area. He also was a security guard with U.S. Securities at Rockwell Collins. Dale was a big Indianapolis Colts fan and always had the signature "Colt's Blue" on. He was a happy soul who shared his love of life with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents; late wife, Nancy; and two sons, Robert and Lantz.
Left to cherish Dale's memories are his wife of seven years, Shelley; two sons, Andrew and Adam; one stepson, Christopher of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Trudee; sisters, Joyce, Char and Charlene; brothers, John, Roy, Ric and Vic; one granddaughter, Ava; and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial fund has been established.
