Dale George Munier, 88, of Waterloo, formerly of Marion, passed away at Birdee Cottage in Waterloo. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow the service and take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dale was born June 17, 1936, to Theodore and Daisy (Morehouse) Munier in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married the love of his life, Nina Fuchs on January 23, 1958, in Marion, Iowa. Dale worked hard to provide for his family, and often worked two jobs. He worked as a plant worker for Swiss Valley Farms, and was the co-owner, with his wife, of the Marion Tastee-Freez.
He enjoyed wood working, keeping active, maintaining his vehicles, and being social. Dale could start a conversation with anyone and charm them with his smile. Dale and Nina always enjoyed going down to Mission, Texas during the winter. He loved his family and cherished the time they spent together.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Nina Munier; children, Deniene (Thomas) Kneeland, and David Munier; grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Kyle, Shaelyn, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Ryder, Peyton, Macie, and Landon; and his brother, Gerald Munier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Gene.
