Dale J. Boge, 76, of 13369 Kramer Rd., Farley, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Friends and relatives of Dale may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Reiff
Funeral Home in Farley, where a wake service will be at 2 p.m. Services for Dale will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, with the Rev. Michael Schueller presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley.
Dale was born May 18, 1938, in Farley, Iowa, son of Joseph J. and Delores (Clemen) Boge. He received his education in the Farley rural country schools. On Aug. 21, 1971, he was united in marriage to Nancy J. Coulthard in Platteville, Wis. She preceded him in death May 28, 2009. The couple farmed in the rural Farley area.
Dale truly loved farming and the land. He treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley and its Altar and Rosary Society.
He is survived by a daughter, Christine (Karamoko) Boge-Hubbard of Coralville, and their children, Delores and Grayson; two sons, James (Jennifer Woolf) Boge of Farley, and their children, Lillian, Joseph, Jacob, Lucille and Jameson; and Mike (Emily Reinert) Boge of Farley, and their children, Lukas and Erik; and a brother, John "Jack" Boge of Farley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joyce Ann Boge on June 2, 2010, and Elaine D. Boge on Jan. 27, 2011.
A Dale J. Boge Memorial Fund has been established.
The family extends a special thanks to the health care team at Oakcrest Manor in Dyersville.
