Dale Attwood, 72, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Walker, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Walker United Methodist Church, Walker. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker.
Dale is survived by his sisters, Beverly (Edwin) McVay of Center Point/Urbana and Emma Marie Adams of Nauvoo, Ill.; lifetime friend and "brother," Bob Niemeier of Walker; "nephew," Stan (Deana) Niemeier of Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jennie (Whitson) Attwood; three brothers, Leonard "Red" Henderson, Ray Attwood and Tommy Attwood; and a brother-in-law, Dan Adams.
Dale was born Dec. 9, 1944, in Walker, Iowa, son of George and Jennie Attwood. Farming was his life.
A memorial fund has been established in Dale's memory.
