Dale A. Meyer, 84, of Marion, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Silver Oaks Nursing in Marion. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the service, both at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dale was born April 22, 1938, In Lowden, Iowa, to August and Irene Meyer. He served in The U.S. Navy. He enjoyed playing euchre, going to races, watching the Hawkeyes and was an avid bowler. Dale was a member of the Marion American Legion.
Dale is survived by a daughter, Penny S. (Karl) Johnston; sons, Steven L (Laura) Willard and Dan (Jane) Huerter; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo; parents; and daughter-in-law, Diana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
