Cynthia Olson Kay, 67, of Eugene, Ore., formerly of Fairfax, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022. Celebration of
Life
will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 7, at Fairfax City Hall.
Cynthia was born on Sept. 11, 1955, in Mason City, Iowa, daughter of Russell and the late Elvira Olson. Dhe graduated from Prairie in 1974, united in marriage to Tim Kay in 1978. She had two daughters, Kristina and Kelli. She loved animals, shopping, eating out but, most of all, her family. She was deeply loved and will be very much missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Tim; daughters, Kristina (Eric) Hayes and Kelli (Anthony) Krietz, both of Eugene, Ore.; brother, David (Nancy) Olson; father, Russell Olson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Patti Kay; niece, and nephews, Angela Sherwood, Duane Olson and Shawn Olson; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elvira Olson.
Cynthia was diagnosed with ALS And her amazing family stepped up to be caregivers. a huge thank you goes out to Dennis Kay, Pamela Kay and Angie Sherwood for their love and support though this difficult time, a big thank you goes out to all the Kay family.
