Cynthia “Cindy” S. Gould, 68, of Cedar Rapids, IA, died Saturday, May 18, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with a visitation one hour prior. Entombment: Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Cindy under “photos and videos or media,” starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Cindy was born March 5, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donna (Evans) and Prince Hudson, Jr. She graduated from Marion High School, Class of 1974. Cindy was united in marriage to Wendell Gould on November 12, 1977, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Amana Refrigeration for four years before transitioning to Norand Service Center, where she dedicated many years of her career. Cindy enjoyed boating and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Gould of Cedar Rapids; son, Jared Gould of Palo, IA; and several cousins, including a special cousin, Jerry Happel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Prince Hudson, Jr.; and brothers, Craig and Gary Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to St. Croix Hospice and the incredible staff at West Ridge Care Center for their compassionate, loving care of Cindy.
